Soprano Claire Connelly is a professional opera singer based in Cleveland, OH. Traveling all over the country, she has touched the souls of her audiences through her many heart-felt and energetic performances. She has sung for international dignitaries such as Vice-President Al Gore, President George H. W. Bush, Vicente Fox, and many others.
Claire has been repeatedly praised in the Cleveland Plain Dealer for having “dulcet tones,” singing with “bright assurance,” and being “a fine soprano with a vivacious presence.” She has performed with regional companies in Ohio with the Cleveland Opera Theatre, Apollo’s Fire, Akron Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, and the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra and in Oklahoma with Tulsa Opera and Light Opera Oklahoma. Her roles include Serpetta (La Finta Giardiniera), Atalanta (Xerxes), Gianetta (The Gondoliers), Der Tanzmeister (Ariadne auf Naxos), Mrs. Nordstrom (A Little Night Music), The Dew Fairy (Hansel and Gretel), and Knabe 1 (Die Zauberflöte).
Claire currently resides in Cleveland, OH where she completed her Masters of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2010. She is a part-time voice faculty member at John Carroll University as well as a private voice teacher.
